The festive surroundings of the Keadeen Hotel is the place to be this Friday evening as the KDFL are
set to return to their annual awards ceremonies after a two years absence due to the worldwide
pandemic. They will celebrate their 28 th Annual Awards Ceremony where over 250 people will come
together to celebrate the achievements of the season.
It is an event which marks the official presentation of Cups, Shields, individual and overall awards for
the season. Guest of honour will be FAI President Gerry McAnaney. Speaking of the invitation Gerry
said he relishes the opportunity to return to Kildare having spent much of his early years on the
Curragh Camp where he served as Regional Director of the Military Police and later held the position
of Commandant in the Defence Forces.
There will also be representation from the League’s Provincial Association the Leinster FA as it’s
President Tony Martin and Administrator Peter Doyle will be in attendance to join with League
sponsors, members of the ISRS Kildare Laois Branch, neighbouring League representatives,
Representatives of the local media and other special guests to celebrate what has been another
successful Season for the League as they completed their full programme of domestic competition on
Sunday having kicked off on the 1 st April this year.
