KDFL Council Meeting – The July Council meeting of the League will take place this Wednesday evening 10th July at 8pm in the Keadeen Hotel. All clubs are to be represented. Monthly awards for Senior Div player of the Month, Player of the Month, goalkeeper of the month and manager of the month. Draws will be made for the quarter finals of the KDFL Lumsden League Cup, KDFL League Shield QF and the Master Cup QF.  We will also have a FAI Club Mark workshop facilitated by Jimmy Mowlds (FAI Regional Director) All clubs under the jurisdiction of the FAI must hold a minimum FAI Club mark by the end of 2025 to permit them to play organised football under the jurisdiction of the NGB. To this end Jimmy will be facilitating a workshop for clubs at this meeting. All clubs must be represented by at least one Executive member of their club. 



FAI Free Referees Beginners Courses – 


The Football Association of Ireland is thrilled to announce the launch of Referee Month, set to take place throughout July 2024. In celebration of the essential role referees play in sports, the FAI is offering free in-person referee beginner courses in every region across the country. Links for locations and registrations in the vicinity of Kildare have been sent to all Clubs via email.

Transfer and Registration window opens Monday 1st July 


Social Media Team of the week features ; Our Social Media Officer Jamie Connolly will be endeavouring to create a ‘Team of the week’ possibly for each Division (This initiative will only be possible with the ‘buy in’ from each Club in the League). He will be featuring Clubs crests/sponsors etc. This will help to elevate your Club and our profile across all platforms. Please email your best players each week on Sunday before 7pm to Jamie at jamtay@live.com

Please ensure you indicate the Division your player competes in. 


Friendly matches – Any Clubs wishing to take part in friendly matches must notify the KDFL Secretary on reginacasey1@yahoo.ie as per rule. Any clubs seeking friendlies can contact Jamie Connolly on jamtay@live.com and he will publish on our social media pages. Please outline your preferred divisional opponents, time, date, venue and contact information in the email. 


FAI Garda vetting New links – New links to FAI Garda vetting courses where you can upload your information securely have now been sent to all club secretaries by email 210124.


Irish Sports Council - Children’s Officer Course facilitated by the KSP takes place this Thursday 11th July 2024 (Online) Links to book sent to all clubs 4th July 2024.
