Arlington produced a dominant performance to see off Coill Dubh with an emphatic 5–1 victory. The home side got off to the perfect start, taking the lead inside the first minute when Phelim O’Kane rose highest to head home from a corner. Coill Dubh hit back midway through the half, Ryan Grace converting from the penalty spot to make it 1–1. However, Arlington quickly regained control when Ian Higgins restored their lead with a penalty of his own to make it 2–1 at the break. After halftime, Arlington continued to press and were rewarded when Dunne finished off a fine team move to stretch the lead to 3–1. Any hopes of a Coill Dubh comeback were ended when Robbie McNeill calmly slotted home Arlington’s fourth after the visitors appealed in vain for offside. The scoring was completed in style late on, as Theobela Nazo smashed an unstoppable strike into the top corner to seal a comprehensive 5–1 win.
