Five-Star Dunlavin win as Geoghegan Masterclass to sink Allenwood 

Dunlavin AFC put on a clinic in clinical finishing to comfortably dispatch Allenwood Celtic FC in a one-sided 5-0 victory.  The headline story of the day belonged entirely to Aaron Geoghegan, who produced a sensational four-goal masterclass to systematically dismantle the visitors' defence and secure an undisputed Man of the Match performance.

The match started with Dunlavin looking to dictate the tempo early on, and it didn't take long for their talisman to find his groove.  In the 17th minute, Aaron Geoghegan opened the scoring with a sharp finish, breaking the initial tension and giving the hosts a well-deserved lead. Allenwood tried to regroup and find a foothold in the game, but Dunlavin's backline remained resolute, turning away any brief glimpses of danger.  Just as the first half looked to be winding down, Geoghegan struck again. In the 37th minute, he doubled both his personal tally and Dunlavin's advantage, leaving Allenwood with a massive mountain to climb heading into the interval.

If Allenwood hoped to mount a second-half comeback, those dreams were shattered within seconds of the restart.  Clearly hungry for more, Geoghegan completed a brilliant hat-trick in the 46th minute, catching the visitors cold straight from the whistle. He wasn't done there, either. Just nine minutes later, in the 55th minute, Geoghegan turned a stellar afternoon into an unforgettable one by slotting home his fourth goal of the game, completely deflating the opposition.

With the points firmly in the bag, Dunlavin continued to play with freedom and flair. In the 63rd minute, Tomas Lawlor got in on the act, putting the icing on the cake with a well-taken fifth goal to round out a flawless team performance.

While it was an incredibly disciplined and dominant display from the entire Dunlavin squad, Aaron Geoghegan rightfully walked away with the match ball and the Man of the Match honours.  His ruthless efficiency in front of goal was the clear difference-maker, ensuring a memorable afternoon for the hosts.
