Moone Celtic FC 0 Rathangan AFC 3

Clinical Rathangan Secure commanding victory.

Rathangan FC continued their strong campaign with a professional and clinical 3-0 away victory over Moone Celtic FC.  From the very first whistle, the visitors established their dominance, dictating play and maintaining high levels of possession.

Despite their control, Rathangan initially found it difficult to break the deadlock due to some desperate, last-ditch defending from a resilient Moone Celtic backline. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 43rd minute. Oisin "Beans" Dempsey found space to square the ball for the in-form Lee Moore, who made no mistake in notching his sixth goal of the season, sending Rathangan into the break with a deserved lead.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Rathangan dominating large shares of the ball.  Their creative persistence paid off again in the 54th minute. Following more fantastic build-up play, the ball found its way out to Oisin Dempsey once more; he provided his second assist of the day by squaring the ball for the on-rushing Jayo Dempsey, who doubled the visitors' advantage. Moone Celtic refused to go quietly and were denied a certain goal in the 70th minute. It took a world-class save from Davey Moore to preserve the clean sheet and stifle the hosts' hopes of a comeback.

The final flourish came in the 90th minute through a moment of individual brilliance. Colm "Pudge" Cunningham took matters into his own hands, embarking on a sensational 70-yard run with the ball before being brought down inside the area. The referee pointed to the spot, and Mr. Dependable, Lee Moore, coolly slotted away the penalty for his seventh goal of the season. The three points return home with Jonny Igoe’s in-form Rathangan side, who showed quality across every department.

Aside from the goalscorers, standout performers for Rathangan included Davey Moore in goal, Stefan Lawlor at center-half, and Kieran McEnerney, who excelled in the middle of the park alongside the two Dempseys. Man of the Match: Lee Moore (Rathangan FC)

Moore was the standout performer on the day. His movement off the ball caused constant headaches for the Moone Celtic defense, and his clinical nature—both from open play and the penalty spot—rightfully earned him the Man of the Match honours.
