Clonmulllion FC exited the LFA Senior Cup at the third round stage on Thursday evening following a pulsating game at NUI Maynooth against top LSL Side Maynooth University Town. The mull were unlucky not to bring the game to extra time having staged a late comeback. Paddy O Sullivan, Eoin O Neill and Conor Delahunty put the north Kildare side 3-0 up before Gary Comerford scored to make it 3-1. Soon after Jay Connell put the minimum between the sides. The Athy men camped in the Maynooth half for the remainder of the game but could not breach their resolute rearguard.
